family size
Lot
8 family member size – Lot, Lot’s wife, His 4 daughters,
His 2 sons-in laws.
Noah
8 family member size – Noah, Noah’s wife, His 3 sons, His 3
daughter-in-laws.
-4. Both men had impending
destructions coming upon them.
-5. Both were giving
opportunity of escape.
Major Difference Between Noah
and Lot
Noah
The whole of Noah’s family
were saved from destruction 8/8.
Lot
Lot lost 5 out of his 8
family members to destruction- more than 50%
The cause of this major
difference despite all similarities might be found in 2 Peter 2: 5

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness,
bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Noah was described as a preacher of righteousness
but that was not said about Lot. It could be inferred that Noah preached to his
family and prepared them for the impending judgement while that could not be
deduced of Lot.
