OVERCOMING YOUTHFUL SEXUAL LUST, (SECOND STAGE)

Working Scripture: Genesis 3:6

Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

From the underlined parts of our working scripture, as we did for the Part 1 of this teaching, let us mention all the 5  categorical processes or stages that Eve went through in eating the forbidden fruit:

1.    She made eye contact with the forbidden fruit and could not take her eyes away from it. {pleasant to the eye).

2.    Her heart desired to have a taste of the fruit (a tree to be desired).

3.    In between, before she took the fruit, she must have planned how to pluck the fruit.

4.    She carried out her heart desire by eating the fruit. She took action (and did eat)

          5. Consequently, she became lost to death (God’s judgement).

For the first stage of lust, we discussed about the eyes of Eve making an ungodly contact with the forbidden fruit and found the fruit pleasant to her eyes. That action of Eve in itself is the lust of the eyes.

But we want to discuss in this part 2 is the step Eve took and that was desiring the fruit in her heart. That is the Lust of the heart - a step graduation from the Lust of the eyes.

SECOND STAGE OF LUST (THE DESIRE STAGE)

Lust at this stage is given by the acronym below.

L        -LONGING for

U       -UNGODLY

S       -SEXUAL

T        -TOUCH

The first stage of lust directly leads to the second stage of lust. In this second stage, your heart plays back whatever images of sexual targets your eyes have captured and desires to see them again or even have a feel or touch.

The major agent at work here is the heart. The heart works like a storage device of a computer which can give you back whatever information you have stored in. At this stage, the heart plays back for you all the pornographic images and sexual targets your eyes have captured and goes a step further by processing them for you. The heart can make you imagine how it will be if you have a real touch or feel of those targets. The desire or passion at this stage can be so intense that the youth may really want to take step to actualize his desires.

Because of this sensitive nature of the heart, the scripture charges us to be cautious our hearts.

Proverb 4: 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Let it be stressed that lustful signals can also be fed into the heart through other agents like the ears and the mouth if you keep hearing sensuous songs and saying sensuous words. Many songs that the youths of today listen to are erotica in content. When you store such into your heart, your heart can play them back for you at will and then fill you with desire to actualize the content. Even many dance steps are erotica and youths expose themselves to such dance steps.

The Lord, Jesus Christ, Himself, calls this stage of the lust, ‘adultery of the heart’ and it is a sin just as the lust of the eyes is a sin.

Mathew_5:28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Again, from the above scripture, we can see that the lusting after a woman in the heart begins with looking lustfully at the same woman. In other words, lust of eyes graduates to lust of the heart. Before, Eve might have desired the forbidden fruit in her heart, she derived pleasure in looking at the fruit and that eventually led to her eyes desiring the fruit.

An acted drama posted on the YouTube by The Winlos is uploaded below with this teaching to underscore the gravity of the lust of the heart. The drama showed a young man that was in a terrible state of lust of heart.

What happened in the acted drama above might be similar to what Eve had in her heart before she plucked and ate the forbidden fruit. Genesis 3:6 stated that Eve desired the tree.

Proverb 6:25 emphasizes beauty and eyelids as some of the targets a man can lust after in his heart.

Pro 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

Man should wonder less why many women today spend so much on artificial ‘beauty’ and eyelashes. You are counseled not to be victims of these.

If you found out your heart is always desiring to have a touch/taste/test of  any sexual object you are exposed to, please, quickly deal with it or seek help. It is lust of the heart.

This was how Eve was filled with the desire to taste the forbidden fruit.

PRAYERS 
1. Lord, make me of a pure heart in Jesus' name.

2. O Lord, refine my heart with the fire of the Holy Ghost.

3. Lord, Jesus Christ, deliver me from lust of the heart.

4. My Father in heaven, Purge my heart to your standard in Jesus' name.

GOD'S EXTREME WARNING FOR SEXUAL SINNERS AND IDOLATERS

ACTIONS

Are you an elect of Christ? Are you truly saved? Are you on the narrow road? Do you want to make the rapture/heaven? If your answers are yes, then

                                                                         

• Make all efforts to heed the warnings of Jesus Christ. 

• Be watchful. Pay attention to what is happening around the World and see whether they match what the scriptures say.                                                                             

• Be filled with the Holy Spirit and be in the Spirit all the time. 

• Fast, consecrate yourself, run away from sin and worldliness.

If your answers are NO, then you can repent today. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Kindly sincerely and faithfully pray the prayer of repentance below and make a determination never to commit sin again.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord, Jesus Christ, I am sorry for all my sins. I confess them with my mouth and I ask for mercy. Please forgive me and wash me in your blood. I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. Write my name in the book of life. Give me power over sins and fill me with your Spirit and Joy of Salvation. When rapture trumpet sounds, let me make it. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, I pray.

Begin to read bible. Begin with the book of John. Pray always. Fast regularly (you can begin with once in a week). Look for a bible believing church where they teach repentance, holiness, salvation and fellowship with them. Pray before you go. Always run away from SINS.

NEGATIVE CHARACTERS CHRISTIANS MUST GET RID OFF IN 2017

INTRODUCTION

For any new year that is ushered in, God always has agendas He has set out to achieve in people, churches and nations for that year, just as each individual also has agendas he also has set out to achieve for the new the year. The agendas of God for the New Year can be referred to as His moves for that New Year.

There are basic two ways to key ourselves into His moves for the New Year. 

1. By Positioning Yourself for that Move of God. This was talked about in January 2016.

2. By Getting Rid of Anything that can hinder you for that move. Some of these behaviours will be highlighted.

FEW ATTITUDES TO GET RID OFF                                                          

Some of the attitudes believers must get rid include the following. I have observed that many believers don’t particularly pay attention to many of these characters. Many believers display them freely but they have great spiritual negatively implications. I pray that God will minister to us Himself.

1. INGRATITUDE

Many believers don’t show gratitude. Showing gratitude is not an option, it should be a way of life for them. Show gratitude to God for all things at all times. Show gratitude to people. Show gratitude to your family and other people. Even show gratitude to your children if they accomplish a task for you. Showing gratitude will help us not to miss out on the moves of God for this year.

2. SWEARING

Mathew 5:34-37                                                                          

34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Speak the truth at all times. Stop swearing to get people to believe you. I have corrected a few believers for swearing. Some Christians even swear by saying Wallahi, unknowingly. I have corrected a few. Do not swear to prove any point.

3. JOINING THE BAND WAGON

Christians are not supposed to be following the crowd because it is not the crowd that is going to heaven. It gives me a concern when you see Christians rush to play sport betting, do MMM, go about shouting up Chelsea or calling themselves the ‘red devil’. Many Christians suddenly became MMM evangelists and yet they never preached the gospel to anyone. When you see people rush into anything without a restraint, wait a bit and look at what the Word of God says about that thing. As a confirmation, you can even pray for a confirmation before you make a move. The road to heaven is still narrow.

4. COMEDY/JESTING

Ephesians 5:3-4                                                                                       

3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Most of the comedies that many believers listen to are blasphemous in contents. Yet, believers sit down and begin to laugh. This is sheer evil and must be stopped.

Also, it is an evil thing to bring comedians and jesters to the house of God to come and crack jokes. They blaspheme the name of God, Word of God, Blood of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and even tell lies in other to make people laugh in church. And the ignorant pastor and the congregations will be laughing boisterously. They trivialize salvation.

This is evil and sinful. Separate from it even if others are doing it. Key yourself into the moves of God.

5. USING THE NAME OF GOD IN VAIN

Exodus 20:7

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Don’t use the name of God for exclamations. Many young Christian men will see girls they are lusting after, on the road and shout ‘Jesus’! Please stop all these.  Don’t speak in tongues for fun or for vain purposes. Some young men will be toasting girls and will still be using ‘tongues’. These are not to be. Stop them this year, 2017. When something amuses don’t shout ‘the blood of God’ or ‘the blood of Jesus’ to laugh it off.

6. SEXUAL LUSTING. This is being treated in detail here.

7. EATING FOODS SACRIFICED TO IDOLS/DEVILS

1 Corinthians 10:20                                                                                      

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

It is absolutely unbiblical for Christians to eat animals and foods used for non-Christians festivals based on the scripture above. In fact, God has put a stop to ALL animal sacrifice after the death of Jesus. When believers now go about eating rams and other food items sacrificed by adherents of other faithful, then there is spiritual crisis. You cannot eat from the table of the Lord and of the enemy at the same time

The Lord, Jesus Christ, after His death, resurrection and ascension visited Apostle John and told John to rebuke the Church at Pergamos for eating things sacrificed to idols.

Revelation 2:20                                                                      

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

It broke my heart to read in the media in the year, 2016, that some Christian leaders even broke the popular 30-day non-Christian fast with a governor in Northern Nigerian – selling their destinies like Adam/Eve on one hand and Esau on the other hand.

8. WORDLY SONGS AND DANCE STEPS

1 Corinthians 10:31

31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Most worldly songs directly glorify satan and blasphemes God. When you listen to those songs and dance those evil dance steps, you are joining the singer in glorifying satan and blaspheming God at the same time. You are guilty of the same offence.

This is even worse when you sing these worldly songs or those dance steps in the church. You are directly polluting the altar of God in that church. These are some of the reasons for unanswered prayers and hindrance of the move of God in the church of Christ, today.

9. DISOBEDIENCE TO THE VOICE OF HOLY SPIRIT.

Apart from a few things listed above, please listen to the Voice of the Holy Spirit. Whatever He has been talking to you to correct in your life, quickly correct it. Don’t tarry. Pray that God should help you in your area of weakness.

OVERCOMING YOUTHFUL SEXUAL LUSTS, (FIRST STAGE)

Working Scripture: Genesis 3:6

INTRODUCTION

One day, I asked the youths if they knew the meaning of ‘lust’. Everybody

answered with a ‘yes’. Then I asked whoever that had lusted after anyone to raise

up his or her hand. Only a few raised their hands. I, also, raised my hand. The

others that did not raise their hands were laughing at us who raised our hands. I

asked them why they didn’t raise their hands but they could not answer but kept on

laughing. I concluded they either did not know the meaning of lust or were just

pretending.

Let’s face it. Almost everyone who is old enough to understand the meaning of ‘lust’

has lusted after one person or the other, at least once. This teaching will help you

to understand the meaning of lust both biblical and practically, determine if you are

in lust and what to do to overcome it.

WHAT IS LUST?

Lust can simply be defined as desiring, craving, longing to have or doing what is ungodly in preference to that which comes from God. Anybody can lust after anything. There could be lust after food like children of Israel did in the wilderness, lust after music, lust after clothe or lust after anything once it is ungodly. But since we are dealing with youthful sexual lust, I will paraphrase lust to be desiring, craving, longing to have or doing an ungodly sexual act especially by the Youths.

FIVE STAGES OF LUSTS

I was made to understand that the fall of Adam by Satan through Eve was due to Eve’s undergoing the complete stages of Lust after the forbidden fruit. Let us look at our working scripture.

From the underlined in our working scripture, we can see the processes or stages that Eve went through:

1.  She made eye contact with the forbidden fruit and could not take her eyes away from it. {pleasant to the eye).

2.    Her heart desired to have a taste of the fruit (a tree to be desired).

3.    In between, before she took the fruit, she must have planned how to pluck the fruit.

4.    She carried out her heart desire by eating the fruit. She took action (and did eat)

5.    Consequently, she became lost to death (God’s judgement).

These five stages that Lot went through led sequentially one to another. Each stage is lust on its own and is sinful. Let us look at these five stages in practical ways at they affect youths.

FIRST STAGE OF LUST (THE CONTACT STAGE)

Lust at this stage is given by the acronym below.

L        -LOOKING

U       -UNCONTROLLABLY at

S       -SEXUAL

T        -TARGETS

This is the stage where a youth gets in contact with his/her sexual target. The primary agent here is the eyes. The eyes of a youth come in contact with his/her sexual targets and lose control. The target may be a chorister singing worship, the pointed nose of a female/male, the eyelid of a female, the moustache of a male, the uncovered straight legs of a female/male, the muscular frame of a man or any sensuous part of a female/male. Some youths even lusts after unclad mannequins in boutiques. Other lustful sexual targets include pornographic images and videos on magazines, Facebook, Whatzapp, YouTube and so on.  Once, I saw a video on the internet of a man that saw a statue of an unclothe female. He was so much lost in lust that he went to hug the statue and began to caress it. Lust can be so burning. Burn it before it burns you.

Once, you are lost in control of looking at any ‘sensuous’ part of an opposite sex, and the image feel pleasant to your sight, then you are engrossed in what the scripture calls ‘the lust of the eyes’.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The lust of the eyes is a sin and not of God. This was the first thing that happened to Eve in the garden. She started looking uncontrollably at the forbidden fruit and it was pleasant to her eyes.

The first stage of lust which we refer to as the contact stage if not dealt with quickly will lead a man/woman to the second stage which has to do with the heart. This we shall look at in the second part of this teaching.

The main purpose of this teaching is to help Youths overcome Lust in whatever stage he/she might be. But we need to let them understand in clear terms what Youthful Sexual lusts are. After going through the 5 stages of sexual lust, then we begin how to overcome each stage of lust. Watch out for the second part of this teaching on this site.

PRAYERS

1.  Lord, Jesus Christ, set the fire of Holy Ghost in my eyes and burn off all the spirit of lust working inside them.

2.  Cast out the lust out of my eyes by the finger of God.

3. Do not allow me to fall to lust like Adam and Eve

4. Destroy every trap of seduction on my way by the fire of God.

5. My eyes will not send me to hell fire in Jesus’ name.
